A police officer has lost his life after being attacked by bandits in Lamu.
The deceased cop, identified as Martin Cheruiyot, was among the police officers deployed to Lamu to deal with insecurity in the area.
According to reports, he was to wed in April this year.
He was forced to reschedule his wedding slated for December last year after CS Matiang’i ordered all security officers to be on duty during the festive season.
