Wafula Chebukati, chair of the Independent Electoral and Boundaries Commission (IEBC), has begun announcing presidential results from a variety of constituencies in order to fulfill the seven-day deadline.

The two major political parties in Kenya, Kenya Kwanza Alliance and Azimio la Umоjа One Kenya Party, have been vying for victory in the general elections while concurrently putting up nominations for their respective candidates.

Ahmednasir Abdullahi asserts that Azmio lost the election and that Raila Odinga should accept defeat and reprimand Deputy President William Ruto.

He said that Azimio’s shareholding structure has made this impossible. He added that some shareholders were allegedly using their voting rights against other shareholders who believed they had unfairly defeated them in the polls.

“The primary barrier stopping Azimio’s shareholding structure prevents him from reaching a significant agreement. A select group of preferential shareholders are exploiting their veto power to oppress the majority of regular shareholders who sincerely think they legitimately lost the election and want a peaceful exit.” He tweeted.
