Babu Owino, was released on a cash bail of Sh10 million to be paid in installments of 2.5M, in a case in which the lawmaker was charged with attempted murder
Earlier this week the magistrate who handed Babu Owino, a cash bail of Sh10 million, recused himself from handling the case. Chief Magistrate Francis Andayi said he will not be in a position to preside over the trial of Mr Owino because the Director of Public Prosecutions Noordin Haji had raised objections against the bail terms he gave the legislator for his release.
Dj Evolve is still in critical condition after one month of undergoing treatment in Nairobi hospital. He is still in the ICU due to his critical condition.
A fast growing medical bill, and a seriously vulnerable state of their son’s health, is a battle that the family of DJ Evolve is grappling with, weeks after he was shot. The hospital bill is at 6.9M and Babu Owino is yet to settle the bill.
