Today Nakuru residents will give their final respects to the late nominated senator Victor Prengei who died in a fatal road accident. The late youthful senator represented passionately his Ogiek community before his demise.
The late senator will be laid to rest today at his rural home at Molo in Nakuru county. Various leaders are attending the funeral service. The leaders are led by deputy president William Ruto who was a close ally of the late senator.
The leaders are expected to eulogize the late senator. During a Requiem Mass on Thursday leaders eulogized the late senator as a passionate leader and a calm leader who never hurt anybody.
Various national dignitaries are attending the burial ceremony. Leaders present includes Senate speaker Kenneth Lusaka, Nakuru senator Susan Kihika, Nakuru women representative Liza Chelule, Naivasha MP Jayne Kihara, nominated senator Isaac Mwaura among other leaders.
Tye deputy president William Ruto was warmly received by this leaders on his arrival at the funeral site.
