Harun Aydin was arrested earlier this morning at Wilson Airport when he landed from Uganda. Harun was a part of the team that had join Deputy President William Ruto for a private business meeting.
Lawyer Ahmednassir Abdullahi, commonly known as Grand Mullah, expressed his frustration on twitter when the DCI officers denied him access to see the Turkish national. It is assumed that Harun Aydin had requested to have him as his lawyer.
“Apparently the right to Counsel of one’s choice doesn’t apply to Turkish national Mr. Harun Aydin arrested by the Kenyan police. I have been denied access to see him allegedly on orders from above.”– Grand Mullah.
According to Kahawatungu, Harun Aydin under investigation of terrorism claims in 2001, when he was found to be in possession of a chemical-weapons protection suit, a ski mask.
