Controversial Orange Democratic Movement (ODM) presidential aspirant, Jimmy Wanjigi, has said he has severed links with the Orange party after he was assaulted on Saturday at Kasarani Gymnasium when the party was holding its National Delegates Conference (NDC).
During the function, Wanjigi was beaten and chased away from the venue for reportedly trying to compete with former Prime Minister Raila Odinga for ODM presidential slot in August.
Speaking after the incident, Wanjigi blamed Raila over the beating and said he will now start supporting Deputy President William Ruto‘s presidential bid in August.
The billionaire cum politician termed Raila Odinga as a dictator who will oppress Kenyans when elected President in August.
He vowed to use his billions to ensure Raila Odinga doesn’t become President in August
“My relationship with Raila, at least in the political space, is seemingly over.
“From today, I have been shown the door by ODM. I have been kicked and I say thank you, I will use my billions to ensure Raila does not become president, ‘Heri Ruto Mara Kumi,” Wanjigi said.
