Moses Kuria, the outgoing Trade and Investment Cabinet Secretary, has thanked President William Ruto for shifting him from the docket to the public service ministry.
Kuria said he was ready to serve the president in any role he was called to in Garissa, where he presided over the launch of an industrial park on Thursday.
During his address, Kuria underlined his support for Ruto, noting that what mattered to him was assisting the head of state in achieving his objectives and fulfilling the Kenya Kwanza administration’s agenda to the public.
“As you may have heard. I am currently the Cabinet Secretary of Public Service, in charge of performance issues. “I have taken over for my sister Aisha Jumwa, who is leaving to lead the Culture, Gender, and Arts ministry,” Kuria explained.
“Hata hio ya gender ningeambiwa niifanye ningeifanya kisawasawa sababu hawa wamama na vijana wanataka kuhudumiwa (Even if I were assigned to be the Gender CS I would diligently serve because the women and youth of this country deserve services too),” Kuria was quoted as saying
He recognized that a change in leadership cannot prevent the government from serving the people.
This is the first time Ruto has reshuffled his Cabinet since taking office and made his appointments.
