Deputy President Rigathi Gachagua has advised President William Ruto not to enter into any arrangement with Azimio Leader Raila Odinga, claiming that the outcome will be disastrous.

Gachagua vowed to lead a revolution against Ruto if he brought Raila into government through the back door during an interview.

The Mt. Kenya area, according to Gachagua, would oppose any action that would offer Raila Odinga a seat in the Kenya Kwanza government.

“I tell you that the discussions will lead nowhere. “We agreed with President William Ruto not to bring him into the government,” Gachagua remarked.

The DP indicated that he had imposed a condition on President William Ruto that if not met, the region would withdraw its support for the head of state.

“I have since put a condition on President Ruto that if the talks end in a handshake, Mount Kenya will rebel,” the deputy prime minister said.

Gachagua indicated that the leaders of Mount Kenya would not accept the previous premier’s resignation through a handshake agreement.

It is no secret that Gachagua is not a fan of the ongoing National Dialogue in Kenyan Bomas.

In fact, he stated that he does not have time to participate in the continuing conversations, which is why he appointed Kikuyu MP Kimani Ichung’wah to represent him.

Gachagua stated that he only has faith in the Majority Leader to preserve Mount Kenya’s interests in the National Dialogue Committee.
