President William Ruto has set expectations for Prime Cabinet Secretary Musalia Mudavadi after increasing his mandate in Cabinet by naming him the CS for Foreign and Diaspora Affairs, a docket previously held by CS Alfred Mutua under the office of Deputy President Rigathi Gachagua.
Ruto charged Mudavadi with boosting Kenya’s diaspora relations in his new post as Foreign Affairs CS yesterday at Inyanza elementary school in Vihiga County.
He emphasized that the administration was committed to fostering good relations with Kenya’s neighbors in Africa and beyond, with a particular emphasis on making Kenya a jewel in the world arena.
Ruto also wishes to restore Kenya’s international standing by supporting good governance in other countries.
The president also wants Kenya to be seen as a safe and secure destination to invest.
Investments, according to Ruto, would result in additional job opportunities, which will lead to economic growth.
