Kabando Wa Kabando, a former Mukurweini Member of Parliament, has instructed Deputy President Rigathi Gachagua on what to do when President William Ruto prepares to forsake him and cooperate with opposition leader Raila Odinga.
In a social media post on Saturday, Kabando urged Gachagua to abandon ethnic politics and instead embrace statesmanship.
Kabando also asked Gachagua to refrain from engaging in ethnic politics and spreading anti-Raila Odinga sentiments in the Mount Kenya region.
“Dear Sir, DP, I will be eternally grateful for your thoughtful evaluation of the UDA ticket.
“I’d be a Nyeri senator today.” But I lost in style. I respect you, but I strongly oppose your continuous divisive politics of racial intolerance and Raila-hatred. Please put a stop to it. “Be a statesman,” said Kabando.
The former lawmaker’s comments follow Ruto’s description of Raila as an ally.
The Head of State, who is on a development tour in the Nyanza area, rekindled political paths he had with the ODM leader during their time in the ODM party.
