Dr. Ekuru Aukot, the leader of the Third Way Alliance, has remarked on social media after former Prime Minister Raila Odinga was escorted out of a gathering in Turkana County on Friday.
Raila visited Turkana County for the Turkana Cultural Festival, which began on Thursday.
Following the turmoil, the meeting was called to a close.
The cause of the disturbance was not immediately determined because the ODM boss has yet to speak.
In response to the incident, Dr. Aukot stated that it is a great shame for Turkana villagers to be chasing Raila Odinga, who has been their fighter for the previous ten years.
Aukot also asked Turkana locals to maintain decorum, claiming that President William Ruto’s United Democratic Alliance (UDA) had blinded them.
Aukot further asked villagers to remember that while they are causing strife in the area, Ruto and Raila Odinga are dining together in Nairobi.
“To my Ng’iturkana brothers and sisters, this video disappoints me.
“The @RailaOdinga you publicly denigrated today for political reasons has been your darling for a long time.”
“He has been attending that event for the past ten years.” Let us not be utilized for political purposes.
“Supporting @UDAKenya blindly will cost you. Let us engage in some civility politics.
“Baba and @WilliamsRuto are friends, in case you didn’t know.” “You will never negotiate with them,” Aukot stated on his X platform.
