Raila Odinga, the leader of the Azimio One Kenya Alliance, has intimated that he may support former Vice President Kalonzo Musyoka for the presidency in 2027.
Raila lauded Kalonzo, calling him a trustworthy ally, during a thanksgiving ceremony for his brother, Siaya senator Oburu Oginga, on Sunday in Bondo.
The former prime minister intimated that he would support Kalonzo in his bid to oppose President William Ruto in the 2027 election.
“Kalonzo was on my side twice, and our victory was stolen.” He has been unwavering. Even though he was not chosen as the presidential candidate in the last election, he supported us. He has a decent heart, is diligent, and trustworthy; he is also a Christian. Raila described him as “trustworthy and loving.”
Without committing to a political retirement, the former prime minister said Kalonzo was superior than Ruto.
“I heard Ruto declare that I won’t run, and he compares himself to Kalonzo. I’d like to tell Ruto that Kalonzo is superior to him. We are watching the games you (Ruto) are playing and want you to know that someone will compete among us,” he continued.
