Raila Odinga, head of the Azimio One Kenya Alliance, has stated that he will not sign any agreement with President William Ruto unless the cost of living is addressed in the ongoing bipartisan discussions at the Bomas of Kenya.

Odinga stated in Mombasa that the National Dialogue Committee, helmed by National Assembly Leader Kimani Ichung’wah and Azimio La Umoja leader Kalonzo Musyoka, must also agree on the auditing of the general election last year.

On November 26, the committee’s three-month deadline for submitting its report approaches.

The committee is set to meet next week to produce its findings.

Odinga, on the other hand, has remained steadfast in his belief that no deal will be made unless the issues of high living costs and election auditing are successfully handled.

“The Azimio Coalition will not enter into any agreement unless the cost of living is addressed first.” The expense of living must be decreased, and the audit of last year’s election must be addressed,” Odinga stated.

The former Prime Minister made the remarks in Mombasa while accompanying Mombasa Governor Abdulswamad Nassir to the flagging off of medical supplies at Port Reitz County Hospital.
