Only hours after giving the State of the Nation Address, President William Ruto left the country to attend an international conference in Saudi Arabia.

Ruto touched down in the nation of the Middle East on Thursday evening.

Government sources state that His Royal Highness Prince Mohammed bin Abdul Rahman bin Abdulaziz Al met him.

He’s going to the first Saudi-African Summit.

In an effort to strengthen its relations with Africa, Saudi Arabia has arranged a meeting for later in the day.

collaboration in areas including energy, trade, political collaboration, and regional security is a top priority on the summit’s agenda. Other politicians that showed up for the meeting included Presidents Bola Tinubu of Nigeria, Lazarus Chakwera of Malawi, and Samia Suluhu of Tanzania.

Barely two weeks have passed since he took off for Congo Brazzaville to attend a conference, and now he is in Saudi Arabia.

Notably, Ruto has justified his string of questionable international travels.

Ruto claims that the travels have played a significant role in increasing Kenya’s trade with other nations and securing employment opportunities for Kenyans overseas.

But because of the poor economy, he advised his juniors to cut back on their international travel.
