Opiyo Wandayi, a member of parliament from Ugunja, has requested Davis Chirchir, the cabinet secretary for energy, to resign before former prime minister Raila Odinga reveals irregularities in the fuel industry.
During his Monday speech at St. James ACK Church in Vihiga county, Opiyo, the leader of the Minority in Parliament, chastised Chirchir for his failure to address the growing cost of petrol.
Raila Odinga’s dossier will severely expose Chirchir and other industrious individuals in the Energy Ministry, according to Wandayi, who advised them to start leaving.
“People are complaining about how much living is becoming. I heard a government spokesperson say the other day that gas costs would reach Sh 300 a liter.
Baba promised to expose all the scandalous activities surrounding the importation of oil yesterday.
“I want to send a message to the dishonest leaders in that industry, starting with the Energy CS,” declared Wandayi.
Raila announced on Friday that he will present a dossier this week that will demonstrate how top government officials, including Ruto, are hiking fuel prices in order to collect billions of shillings.
