The Kenyan government has today the 30th day of November 2022 finally unveiled the current retailing prices of a 2 Kilogram packet of maize flour.
Addressing via the Executive Office of the President, the Kenyan government has annouced that the prices of maize flour have skyrocketed with the current retailing prices of a 2 Kilogram packet of maize flour standing between Ksh180 and Ksh210.
The Kenyan government has however assured kenyans of its devoted commitment in the stabilization of maize flour prices in a devoted move fostered towards cushioning Kenyans from the ravaging effects of the cyclic drought situation currently being occasioned in the country.
“The meeting noted that the cost of the nation’s staple food, maize, remains unacceptably high currently retailing between Ksh180-210 for a 2 Kilogram packet of maize flour,” the Government stated.
The Kenyan government further annouced that the current prices of maize in the country “are unacceptably high” a factor that it divulged has been occasioned to by the cyclic drought situation in the country.
The Kenyan government further called upon all kenyan Citizens to exercise utmost patience as it addresses the maize flour prices that have surged in the recent past as the cyclic drought situation in the country.
