The Wiper Democratic Movement party leader Kalonzo Musyoka has hinted at reuniting with his long-term ally and Ford-Kenya boss Moses Wetangula on the road to the August General Elections.

This after Wetangula and Musalia Mudavadi ditched the One Kenya Alliance (OKA), in which they were co-principals alongside Kalonzo and Gideon Moi, for Deputy President William Ruto’s camp to form Kenya Kwanza.

Kalonzo says his relationship with the Bungoma Senator dating back decades ago is still intact, and that Kenyans should not be shocked if he pulls him away from Kenya Kwanza and draws him to the Azimio-One Kenya fold.

The former Vice President, speaking in an exclusive interview with Citizen TV on Friday, reminisced on the days he worked with Wetangula in OKA, adding that he is still hopeful of working with him again.

“I miss Weta, you see I have struggled and suffered with Weta, so don’t be surprised if he comes to where I am. I pray every day for Weta,” Kalonzo said.

Even though Kalonzo refuted that the Kenya Kwanza team was attempting to lure him to join their camp after he signed the Azimio-One Kenya grand coalition agreement, he stated that the DP Ruto brigade had earlier tried to woo him through Wetangula.

Soon after the formation of the Kenya Kwanza alliance, the Wiper boss said the team had been courting him before he finally settled on Azimio, where he has since endorsed Raila Odinga’s presidential candidacy.

“After Saturday, No, before that, they probably sent Weta to me but he never got to meet me, he was still waiting to meet,” he said.

In recent interviews, Kalonzo has been seen to regret his fallout with Wetangula, while faulting him for his move to Kenya Kwanza.

Kalonzo previously came out to plead with Wetangula to reconsider his move, on January 24 saying in an interview that:

“Wetangula and I have come a long way, even if it becomes imperative that my brother Wetangula goes a separate way, it will be painful for me. This is a brother that I have known and I want to ask that he reconsiders his decision. I want to finish this struggle with a person I trust called Moses Masika Wetanugula.”
