Residents of Laikipia County have been living in fear for the past few days after increased attacks by armed bandits posing as herders. The Bandits have been grazing Illegally in other people’s farms and even killing innocent residents.
Following an increase in the last few months, the government announced a multi-agency team operation in the affected region. Most attacks have happened at the Ol Moran village near the Laikipia Conservancy nature park
Earlier this week RiftValley County Police boss George Natembeya had announced that they had managed to curb the attacks and that the bandits were on their way out. However, it has now emerged that residents are still suffering from attacks with the latest happening yesterday night.
