A Large fire has exploded in Basabra Supermarket in Wajir town sending the whole town in panic. The fire which started from a generator which serves the Supermarket spread fast and caught some gas cylinders which exploded propelling the fire.
The fire has been contained by Wajir County and Wajir Airport fire brigade. The generator has been completely damaged. The value of property damaged is still not established. Cause of fire is suspected to be faulty in the generator wiring system.
Investigations have been launched by the security teams which arrived at the scene to establish the cause of the fire.
