Manchester United Struck By The International Break Curse As Star Hobbles Off With An Injury

Premier League giants Manchester United have been hit by the curse of the international break where first-team players return to their respective teams carrying injuries and have to spend time on the treatment table.

The Ole Gunnar Solkjaer led side who are already without their skipper Harry Maguire have been handed a massive blow after their summer Raphael Varane hobbled off with an injury in France triumph over Spain in the Nations league cup finals.

The former Real Madrid defender was stretched off in the 43rd minute of the game and had to be replaced with Bayern Munich star Dayot Upamecano only for Varane to be spotted with ice wrapped around his thigh.

United head to the King Power stadium and face a tricky test against Leicester and the absence of both Maguire and Varane could present an opportunity for the manager to pair Victor Lindelof and Eric Bailly.

The red devils are looking to end their trophy drought since Ole took the helm in Manchester and building a strong team that can play free-flowing football and keeping their players fit will be key
