Marya Prude Says She Went Back to Her Parents After Divorcing Willis Raburu


Marya Prude, the ex-wife of media personality Willis Raburu, seems to be happy, at least according to the photos on her Instagram account.

She has been attending live events and sharing videos dancing to the famous Amapiano songs. The 27-year-old divorced Raburu in 2020, a few months after they lost their firstborn child. In an interview with the Star, Marya revealed that she went back to her parents after her marriage to Raburu failed.

“My father took me in when I was going through some hard times last year and told me, ‘I just need you to exist, and whatever you need, I am here to give it to you,” she said.

Marya, a firstborn in a family of three, added that it was a difficult time for her, and she needed therapy.

“My father took care of me and my mother made sure I ate and slept. She would cook everything for me and told me to stay with them.”

The bubbly lady also revealed that she never introduced any of her exes to her parents apart from Raburu, whom she married in May 2017. “My father only saw Raburu and it was when he was coming to ask for my hand in marriage,” Marya said.

Raburu moved on, and he recently welcomed a baby boy with Ivy Namu, his colleague at Hot 96.

Marya is open to dating In a recent Q&A with her followers on Instagram, Marya said that she was single. Asked if she still wishes to get married again, she said: “I’m not wishing but I’m open to it if the right person comes.” Another fan asked her about life regrets and said she doesn’t regret anything.
