Police officers based in Bungoma County have arrested a guard suspected to have stabbed to death a 26-yr-old man over a Sh20 parking fee in Nairobi’s Kahawa West area.
In the incident reported, the suspect only identified as Saluni is said to have demanded the Sh20 fee from the victim for parking his motorcycle next to a construction site that he watches.
Seeing that the motorcycle owner was adamant and ready to reverse his wheels, Saluni brandished a suspected Somali sword from his Maasai shuka, driving it into the victim’s belly before scampering off.
Good Samaritans who heard the victim groan in excruciating pain rushed him to Kenyatta University Teaching, Referral and Research Hospital, only to be pronounced dead on arrival. An autopsy was conducted and his body released to the family for burial arraignments.
Law enforcers have asked the public not to let anger and frustrations led them to commit serious offences and worse take a person’s life.
