The National Police Service is under fire for forcing form four leavers to sleep at Uhuru Park last night. This was in line with the governments’ curfew guidelines which starts at 8PM.

Parents and other citizens have expressed their fury to the government on Social Media, labelling the decision as inhuman and unlawful especially because it was extremely cold and had rained earlier in the day.

The students were not provided with food, water or shelter and to top it all, Uhuru Park is considered unsafe at night.

Part of the blame has been stretched to CS George Magoha for failing to co-ordinate with Interior CS Fred Matiangi to come up with an arrangement that would ensure every student got home safely.

This comes days after the police manned a roadblock on Thika Road forcing thousands of citizens to spend the night outside.

While some Kenyans are pushing for a statement from CS George Magoha, others are seeking a revolution for feeling abandoned and abused by the government.
