Deputy President William Ruto has revealed he received Amani National Congress leader Musalia Mudavadi’s nod to attend Kakamega senator Cleophas Malala’s tournament in Mumias on Friday.
Speaking during the event, Ruto said he has been consulting with Mudavadi before visiting the Western region.
The DP joined hundreds of sports fanatics who thronged Mumias Sports Complex for the finals of the Cleophas Malala Tournament 2021 edition. A chopper carrying Ruto and his allies landed at the sports ground at around 4 pm on Friday, December 31, amidst fanfares and celebrations that characterised the festive sports bonanza. He was received by Malala who was the patron and the organiser of the tournament which was aimed at uniting the region through sports.
