Nominated Senator MILLICENT OMANGA clears the air on whether DP RUTO visited the White House or Eisenhower Building

Deputy President William Ruto is on a 12-day tour of the United States, United Kingdom and Qatar where he will deliver speeches, meet world leaders and Kenyans living in the diaspora.

The second in command is accompanied by his co-Kenya Kwanza principal, Amani National Congress (ANC) party leader, Musalia Mudavadi, and a number of his allies including Nakuru Senator Susan Kihika, Kandara MP, Alice Wahome, and former Foreign Affairs Chief Administrative Secretary, Ababu Namwamba, among others.

According to his spokesman, Hussein Mohamed, DP Ruto held a closed-door meeting at White House early Friday morning, reports that have triggered lots of reactions.

Many Kenyans led by Jubilee Party blogger, Pauline Njoroge, discredited the reports of Ruto’s visit to the White House as false, claiming that he just visited an adjacent building (Eisenhower Building) which according to reports is 100 meters from the White House.

However, Omanga who is a close ally to the DP and a member of UDA has reacted to these allegations that the DP did not visit the White House as reported.

Omanga, in her remarks, stated that people should relax, adding that it seemed DP Ruto’s visit to the White House had rattled some people.

“It seems deputy president @WilliamsRuto’s visit to White House has rattled some people. Kuweni wapole,” Omanga said.
