Today, 24th May, the multi-agency team while conducting ambush at Gotu junction in the afternoon apprehended a GK land cruiser belonging to GSU X- Company of Mariara while ferrying 600kgs of cannabis sativa worth 12million shillings.
On board the GK, was Sgt Abdullahi Sharrif Mohamed and PC Driver Patrick Kinyua Kiungu.
Also a civilian vehicle, Prado belonging to Ali Abdirahman was apprehended. The Prado’s occupants were Mohamed Adam Dida alias Samaki, Mohamed Abdirahman Mohamud alias Dayo and Barack Abdullahi Boru, from Isiolo.
The Prado was to ferry cannabis and exchange to GK vehicle. This was their routine for a while now before being caught. One suspect escaped.
