Independent Electrol and Boundary Commission (IEBC) Chair Wafula Chebukati is set to retire on 17th of this month. The Chair has completed his time in the office according to the contract signed. He has been in the electrol body chairing it since 2016 leading the country in 2017 and 2022 general elections. Chebukati has faced ups and downs in the electrol body due to resistance from Raila’s side wanting him to resign. Since 2017, Odinga has not been satisfied with Chebukati’s work.
As he is set to proceed to terminal leave, he remains nightmare to Azimio La Umoja One Kenya party who according to them, robbed them their win in last election. The ODM leader now has one message to the outgoing IEBC Chair. He demands that he be taken to International Criminal Courts (ICC) to be charged over his actions in 2022 elections. According to Odinga, Chebukati is a criminal who robbed his win, that is why he wants the chair to be investigated in Hague.
