Deputy President William Ruto has accused ODM Leader Raila Odinga of being the father of electoral violence in Kenya.
Speaking at Holiday Inn Hotel in London on Monday during an event where he was meeting UDA diaspora supporters, Ruto said that the August elections will be peaceful unless the Azimio group resorts to violence.
“The only thing they (handshake team) can do is maybe to cause violence.
“However, even on that, we shall not allow it to happen,” he said.
He further challenged Raila to publicly commit that he will concede defeat should he lose the election.
The DP exuded confidence in emerging victorious in the August presidential contest, saying even rigging him won’t help Raila.
He expressed confidence in the Wafula Chebukati-led IEBC, saying the electoral agency will deliver free and fair elections devoid of any electoral malpractices.
