Two men are in police custody after they were arrested ferrying bhang worth millions of shillings in a Toyota Prado TX.
According to sources, police got a tip-off from the public that the tinted vehicle was ferrying the banned substance and intercepted it along a busy highway.
After searching the vehicle, they recovered rolls of bhang stashed in sacks and hidden in the car’s boot.
The criminals ferried the bhang in the high-end vehicle because most police officers rarely stop expensive cars on the road.
In a related incident last year, some rogue KDF soldiers were arrested after they were caught ferrying bhang in a Prado.
We understand that criminals have devised new methods of evading police traps by carrying out criminal activities using expensive cars, which are mostly hired.
