The ruling Jubilee Party is collapsing due to leadership wrangles and its supporters should ditch it and cross over to Narc-Kenya, former Gichugu MP Martha Karua has said.
According to the Narc-Kenya party leader, Jubilee is now very weak and those who support it should pull out en mass and join her party whose popularity is growing rapidly.

“Very soon Jubilee will be no more and I urge its supporters to cross over to my side,” she told hundreds of mourners on Tuesday at Kang’aru Primary School in Kirinyaga during the funeral service for Ms Mary Muriithi.

“Jubilee is dying and in 2022 it will be no more. Its supporters are grieving and they should not waste more time there,” she said.

At the same time, Ms Karua told residents to reject the Building Bridges Initiative (BBI), claiming it is tailored to rig the 2022 elections. “This document is the worst as it will be used to rig in some politicians to take up top positions and it should be rejected,” she said.

Ms Karua warned that Kenyans will regret should they back the BBI document.
“I have read the document and found that it is not good for the country,” she said.
Ms Karua said she respects President Uhuru Kenyatta and his government but vowed that she will not support BBI blindly. “This document is poison to Kenyans and it should not be entertained,” she insisted.

But Kirinyaga Jubilee chairman Mureithi Kang’ara differed with Ms Karua, saying there is nothing wrong with the BBI report. “The document is good and people should read it properly in order to decide for themselves what direction they will take,” he said.
Mr Kang’ara swore to go round the region drumming up support for the document, saying it will bring more resources to the area if endorsed in a referendum.
