The University of Nairobi has responded to a letter by Education CS George Magoha to suspend all radical reforms made by the University. In the letter the university has vowed that it will go ahead with the reforms it had announced early this month.

UoN Vice Chancellor Professor Stephen Kiama on Tuesday said that the reforms are not in anyway a variation of the university’s charter and statutory framework adding that UoN considered all necessary procedures when it was coming up with the reforms.

Proff Kiama said all universities know what they can do and what they can not do when it comes to making reforms adding that whatever needs to go to the university will go but the issue of responding to the law is purely lies within the University council. The VC further revealed that the university’s charter which give its council the authority to make reforms.
CS Magoha suspended the changes in the university until they receive a green light from Relevant authorities.
