The United Democratic Alliance (UDA) party led by Deputy President William Ruto held nominations across 36 counties on Thursday.
UDA held gubernatorial nominations in 13 counties, senatorial nominations in 18 counties and Woman Representative contests in 28 counties. Nominations for parliamentary positions were scheduled to be held in 138 constituencies and MCA nominations in 834 wards.
Some of the primaries were however postponed due to chaos and logistical challenges.

Chesumei MP Wilson Kogo loses UDA nomination to Paul “Polo” Pyego. Polo garnered 21,370 votes against Kogo’s 12,980 votes
Keiyo South Constituency:
MP Daniel Rono has lost his bid to recapture his seat on a UDA ticket after losing in the party nominations against Gideon Kimaiyo.
Kimaiyo garnered 16,204 votes against Rono who got 6,213 votes.
Kuresoi North Constituency:
MP Moses Cheboi loses nominations to Alfred Mutai, a former charcoal dealer and current Sirikiwa ward MCA.
Mutai got 17,247 votes against Cheboi’s 12,454 votes.
MP Jayne Kihara loses UDA nominations after garnering 9,991 votes against John Kihagi who got 10,394 votes.
MP Martha Wangari wins UDA primaries after garnering 9,829 votes against her rival Stephen Gatimu who got 6,809 votes
Linet ‘Toto’ Chepkorir has pulled an outstanding victory and landed the UDA party ticket for the Bomet Woman Representative seat.
