Fiery lawyer Miguna Miguna has claimed that he is under intense pressure to support ODM leader, Raila Odinga’s State House bid.
In a statement that he posted on his social media pages, the Canada based lawyer alleged that Azimio la Umoja sent his friend to plead with him to throw his support behind former Prime Minister Raila Odinga.
Miguna further revealed that he was begged not to endorse Deputy President William Ruto to succeed the outgoing President, Uhuru Kenyatta, even if he will not support Raila Odinga.Miguna who has publicly been campaigning for the Deputy President, however, said he will set the record straight on whether he will withdraw his support for William Ruto on Wednesday, March 16th.
“The Azimio La Utapeli has sent my former SONU friends to plead with me to support conman Raila Odinga. They have begged me not to endorse William Samoei Ruto even if I refuse to support the conman. On Wednesday, March 16, 2022, I’ll explain my position,” Miguna said.
A week ago, Miguna who was deported to Canada in February 2018 for his role in the unofficial swearing-in of the then NASA leader Raila Odinga as ‘the People’s President’, claimed that DP Ruto will beat Raila hands down even if the polls are rigged.
“You will wait until Jesus Christ returns. ‘Conman’ Raila Odinga and the ‘Azimio la Utapeli’ (Umoja) will be defeated at 10 AM,” Miguna said.
The Deputy President, on his part, has promised to return the embattled lawyer to the country if he wins the presidential elections in what is seen as returning favors since he has been campaigning for him.
“We will bring back Miguna Miguna in the country within the shortest time possible when I become President,” Ruto said in a recent interview with Voice of America (VOA).
