Government authorities in Somalia continue with the fight against the terror group, Al-shabaab in the Country.
In the last 24hrs a security operation conducted by NISA-Jubbaland dismantled Al-Shabaab network and explosive storage in Kismayu town.
The agency said in a statement posted on Facebook, that they’ve arrested two suspects and recovered Grenades, electronics and explosives
In recent months, the terror group has suffered major setbacks, including territorial losses, killing of their high-ranking commanders and defections. The Somali Federal Government (SFG) and its internal, regional and international allies need to be clear-sighted about the reasons for these, and what they can do to stop another Al-Shabaab recovery. Despite these setbacks, the group can still hit hard against the Somali Federal Government and its allies, including the African Union Mission in Somalia (AMISOM).
The survival of Al-Shabaab is due to its unchecked access to funding that remain plentiful if the sources are not found and dealt with.
